Until recently, I thought meditation was only for woo-woo, hippy-dippy folks. I had so many preconceived notions in regard to meditation. I thought you had to be enlightened and have some sort of guide to do it correctly.
Anytime the word “meditation” came up, I always thought to myself:
- “I can hardly sit still, there’s no way I can sit down for a half hour to meditate.”
- “Pilates and movement is my meditation”
- “I go outside and take walks in nature, that’s meditation, right?”
- “Is this a religious practice?”
- “What the heck is meditation anyway?
- Am I supposed to repeat a mantra? What is a mantra and how does one choose?
- Should I invest in meditation?
- “And what’s so great about meditation anyway?”
I had so many questions about meditation. I had tried “Oprah & Deepak’s Meditation Challenge” a few years back, but it didn’t really stick and I didn’t really get it until I was on a call with an amazing entrepreneurial friend recently.

In this video, I share how to stretch the chest and strengthen the shoulderblades down the back. You'll need a wall and a sturdy, stable chair.
Practice with me as we stretch the pecs and strengthen the mid & low trapezius to help to maintain a connection of the shoulders into the core where they're meant to live happily.
